How To Keep Your Car Cool This Summer With 6 Simple Tips
SUMMER IS COMING!
We're pretty sure that over the last few days you guys have been feeling the heat.. and we know that it's only going increase within the next few weeks.
Usually, the darker colored cars are the ones that trap heat. But, with the temperatures rising your car is going to trap heat regardless of the color of your car.
With heat being trapped in your car, it makes it difficult for you to sit down, touch your steering wheel or your gearbox without breaking a sweat and burning yourself!
So here are a few tips you can follow to get the excessive heat that gets collected while you've parked on the street out of your car!
1. PARK SMARTLY OR UNDER A SHADE
This seems like the most obvious solution to the problem. However, there might be times when there is no shade available at all. Fear not, in this case what you can do is make sure the front of your car is not directly facing the sun.
2. USE A REFLECTIVE SUN SHIELD
The thin ones that you already (since everyone gets it for free) does nothing at all for you. The best one to get would be a reflective one, place it over your windshield to reflect the sunlight!
3. ROLL DOWN THE WINDOWS A FEW INCHES
Just by rolling down the window a few inches you can create an airflow that can help reduce the temperate inside the car while you've parked it!
4. LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN FOR A MINUTE
Sometimes even after taking the precautions mentioned above, there still might be heat trapped in your car. The best way to get this heat out would be to leave your door open for a few seconds or minute.
5. WIPE DOWN
Use a wet cotton hand towel and wipe your steering wheel & gear with it. The wet towel will absorb all the heat.
6. RECIRCULATE THE AIR
Drive with the windows rolled down a little and turn on the AC in recirculation mode. This will help the AC by not working hard to cool the hot air it sucks in from outside but instead work on the already cooler air inside and recirculate it.
