New Ferrari 812 GTS

New Ferrari 812 GTS

Based on the 812 Superfast, it is Maranello’s first series-production front-engine V12 convertible in 50 years - and it has 789 horsepower!

Based on the 812 Superfast, minus the name (but it is super fast) shares the exterior and interior dimensions of the hardtop and of course that incredible 6.5-litre motor blessed with 789 horsepower. That is a lot of power – in fact, Ferrari says it’s the most powerful production spider in the world. For comparison’s sake, it outdoes the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster’s 6.5-litre V12 which only makes 759 horses by some distance

The V12 – which is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic with a shorter gear ratio and has been programmed to shift faster when the Manettino is in the sportier settings screams to 8,900rpm with its torque hitting its 718Nm peak at 7,000rpm. The GTS can hit 0-100kph in under three seconds and it has a top speed of 340kph.

There is no confirmed price for the 812 GTS yet but since the fixed roof coupe starts at $335,275 we're sure it'll much more than that!
